Water Desalination, Environmental Protection projects
There is a continued increase in pressure on worldwide freshwater supplies. The contributors to the growing demand for freshwater are the shifting of populations to coastal cities, industrial growth, periodic regional droughts, agriculture, and domestic use. Around the globe, desalination is increasingly being used to produce filtered water and high-quality industrial process water.
The preparation of filtered water from seawater for consumption is an energy-intensive and expensive process. Our desalination specialists are experienced in handling the challenges of quality water production from sea and the specifications for the purification of in-fluent water to allow for long and effective membrane life. We use advanced desalination technology to produce abundant supplies of fresh filtered drinking water both from brackish and seawater sources. The most widely applied and commercially available technologies for seawater desalination can be divided into two types: membrane processes and thermal processes.
