Mr. Michael Milton
Michael Milton completed his advanced-level education in Economics, Geography, and History at Downer County Grammar School, distinguished institution affiliated with London University. Michael Milton is an accomplished executive with over five decades of experience across the global oil, energy, and investment sectors. His career began at British Petroleum (BP) in 1962, where he worked in the Finance & Accounts Department before transitioning into a training program in Supply & Development, focusing on integrating crude oil deliveries to BP’s refinery network. Gulf Oil recruited him to join their Eastern Hemisphere Crude Oil Department in London in 1966, and he later represented Gulf in the Consortium of Western Oil Companies in Iran. During this time, he gained valuable firsthand experience in crude oil production, export facilities, and refined products trading in North-West Europe and the Mediterranean.
In 1979, Michael founded Telcraft S.A., serving as General Manager, where he managed a wide range of crude oil, refined products and marine transportation activities. His achievements included overseeing the time charter of two Norwegian-owned Suemax tankers for the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), managing refined product trading along the West African coast for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation ( NNPC) and leading the development of a 250 MW wind farm project in Kazakhstan. Additionally, he managed the time charter of ethylene carriers for NPC Alliance in the Philippines and worked extensively on oil supply contracts in Nigeria and Zaire during the mid- 1980s.
In 1988, Michael founded Camomile Developments Ltd. in partnership with H. Clarkson Ltd, the world’s leading shipbroker to develop shipping and oil-related investment projects. Following Clarkson’s buyout, he briefly served as project development coordinator in their Tankers Department. From 1995 to 1997, he consulted for Kuehne & Nagel, developing transportation and logistics businesses within the oil sector and facilitating the sale of Kuehne & Nagel’s UAE subsidiary to the AI Ghurair Group in Dubai.
The UK Chancellor appointed Michael as General Commissioner for Income Taxes from 1997 to 2005, continuing his notable accomplishments. In 2004, he became Executive Director of Rainbow Resources Limited (Nigeria) and Vice President of Rainbow Resources Group (British Virgin Islands), where he played a pivotal role in marketing and facilitating the $1.2 billion sale of deep offshore oil block OPL 245 to Shell/AGIP. He also served as a non-executive director of Amberlight Partners Limited from 2015 to 2021.
Currently, Michael holds leadership positions as Chief Executive of Portman Investment & Management Ltd, managing significant investments in the UK and as Managing Director of MCC Reform Group Ltd, overseeing the governance and management of the Marylebone Cricket Club. He also serves as a director of Falcon Forte (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of Falcon Forte (Hong Kong) Limited, continuing his long-standard involvement in global finance and energy projects.
